Comparing Foil and Inflatable Trainer Kites
Most people consider purchasing an inflatable style kite instead of a foil when shopping for a trainer kite since they can be easily used on water. While inflatable trainer kites might sound like a rational idea, but there are certain differences between both styles and you need to understand them before making a choice. Most experts tend to recommend the foil style and there are several reasons behind it.
The first and the most obvious reason is that foil trainer kites happen to be a lot cheaper as compared to the inflatable ones, and that to for the right reasons. The first reason is that it is quite simple to manufacture foil trainer kites and they are basically made using nylon squares which are sewn. The manufacturing process is quite simple and less complicated as compared to that of inflatable trainer kites. Secondly, foil trainer kites are available in two, three and four line setups with the price varying between them. However, inflatable trainer kites are only available in four lines which makes them more expensive. Lastly, foil trainer kites do not have a harness like the one found in inflatable trainer kites. In order to increase the safety of an inflatable trainer kite, you would not spend another $100 to begin use. Secondly, foil trainer kites have a longer useful life and are more durable. Since their construction is quite simple, they can easily survive the various pressures that end up tearing apart other types of kites. However, inflatable trainer kites are very delicate and can burst very easily upon a crash. As we all know, trainer kites crash very often on land which means that inflatable trainer kites are not at all a feasible option unless you are willing to spend some extra amount on purchasing a new air bladder every time.
Overall, foil kites are therefore the best option you have.
